my first tutorial, EVER! There's two parts to this, and this is part one.

wanted to make a tutorial to show how I do things. there might be better or easier ways, but this is how I do it :3

this was just an old, ratty sketch rotting in one of my folders, so I didn't put a lot of detail into the lineart xD;
